The Two types of Software Engineers

I think software engineers generally fall into 2 different buckets. Neither of these is wrong, it just shows alot about the character of the person writing the code. You can also have both, but normally a preference exists.

1. The dev who cares more about solving problems for themself and other devs: they will use an efficient language and generally have alot more pride about the style and elegance of their code.
2. The dev who cares more about solving problems for the user: This dev doesnt care as much about the meta components of the code, however cares alot more about user experience and how the end product functions.

Working together in a team with people of both skillsets is important as, most devs are quite prideful about SOMETHING. And so, uplifting the standards on both behalfs can be quite useful.
