Stress
I think stress puts unnecessary wear and tear on several parts of your body.
It's your natural reaction to put yourself in pain in order to force yourself to do something. By imagining the pain
caused by the potential repurcussions, you empathise with yourself and increase your chances of actual achievement. In theory
sounds great, ends up not being like that.
It's self protective however a large amount of it is unhealthy. Self defence mechanisms when constantly engaged can start to wear down and become less effective when you actually need them. Additionally it's straight exhausting being stressed. I think a stress free life is a good life, now using it to push you to become a better version of yourself is fantastic, however make sure you realise when this stress is really for nothing and is impacting you more than the potential for gain.
Projected stress from others can act like a pressure pot, causing you to empathize with the person and try to take some of their agony. It really just puts both of you in pain however, and doesn't help you. Caring less about how others are and being really selfish in what you do with your time off can be a great way to recover from this. I think that's what happened this weekend, I needed to escape my problems and so went away to Bulgaria sporadically. It was a coping mechanism to not leave myself at home with those problems still there, making me lazy, anxious and depressed. By pushing myself into an environment which was not familiar I was distracted from what else is happening in life.
